Steampunk Robot
Follow up from my previous upload. I plan on waiting for better render ( when I can ) but I already down in another portfolio project, so I'll just have to make do with the renders I did back in September 2017.
The main reference I conjured up in my head back then was probably The Iron Giant, that sort of all steel thin limbs silly looking robot. The rest is whatever steampunk element I could find on pinterest.
Was the thumbnail, but I don't wanna mislead the content.
Initial bronze shader that didn't work for what I was thinking of.
I should have rendered it in orthographic projection
In these three renders I used HDR lighting with V-Ray with decent results.
The idea for the turn valve/wheel on the back was from toys with turning key on its back.
